• Page 2 <br />City Council Minutes <br />July 12, 2000 <br />Community Pazk Update -Plans for the Park Entrance/Signage <br />Administrator Worthington said Scott Midness of Parsons Transportation presented the <br />Pazk and Recreation Commission with several different plans for the improvement to the <br />east entrance of the park along with better signage to the entrance. In addition, other <br />pazk improvements such as replacement of a fence azound the playground azea and a new <br />small shelter is being considered. Worthington said the Pazk and Recreation <br />Commission will make a recommendation to council in the near future. <br />Northwest Youth & Family Services - Funding Discussion and Resolution 00-15 <br />Councilmember Kuettel who is a representative to Northwest Youth & Family Services <br />said Ramsey County is cutting funding to this agency by 50% for the year 2001. <br />• The money has been used for the diversion services to juvenile offenders each year for <br />the past twenty-five yeazs. Councilmember Kuettel said council is being asked to adopt <br />the resolution strongly encouraging the Ramsey County Manager and Boazd to continue <br />to provide funding for this worthwhile program. The Administrator and Mayor will draft <br />a letter to the county manager and county boazd as well. Councilmember Hustad made a <br />motion to adopt Resolution 00-15 extending the contract between Ramsey County <br />Corrections and Northwest Youth and Family Services.
