ADDENDUM TO POLICY AGENDA Submission of the Amendments to the 1991 Comprehensive Plan to the Metropolitan Council and nei hg boring communities Administrator Hoyt said the council is being asked to approve the submission of the amendments to the city's 1991 comprehensive plan to the Metropolitan Council and the neighboring communities of Lauderdale, Roseville and St. Paul for their review. Hoyt indicated that the amendments reflect changes that the Metropolitan Council requires to meet the state statute requiring metropolitan area cities to update their comprehensive plan by the end of 1999. The revisions are routine updates rather than any policy changes. After brief discussion, councilmember Lindstrom moved to submit the • amendments as presented and the motion passed unanimously. ANNOUNCEMENTS: councilmember Kuettel wished the viewing audience a happy new year and also thanked the city staff for their extra efforts this past year. Mayor Gehrz thanked all the people who gave up their new year's eve to work at city hall and the fire station during the Y2K rollover. Mayor Gehrz announced council assignments for the year. councilmember Kuettel will be assigned to the Human Rights Commission, councilmember Hustad to the Cable Commission, councilmember Talbot to the Parks and Recreation Commission, councilmember Lindstrom to the Planning Commission. Mayor Gehrz will continue to serve on the St. Paul Land Use Planning Task Force, Mayor's Commission Against Drugs and the Ramsey County League of Local Governments.
