<br />L~ <br />J <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 24, 1993 <br />Baldwin convened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Ciernia, Gehrz, Gibson Talbot and Jacobs. <br />were Bachman, Chenoweth and Hoyt. <br />MINUTES OF 3/10/93 APPROVED <br />~. <br />ti F.r <br />Also present <br />Council approved the Minutes of March 10, 1993, as corrected, by <br />unanimous consent. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda by unanimous <br />consent: <br />1. Disbursements <br />a. General Disbursements through 3/15/93, $99,338.00 <br />b. Payroll, 3/1/93 -3/15/93, $$11,374.83 <br />2. Authorizing purchase of two printers (Hewlett Packard <br />Deskjet 500 and Okidata 321) at a total cost of $881.82 <br />and a H/P 310 Inkjet plain paper FAX at a cost of <br />$1,349.18 <br />3. Approval of new ambulance rates <br />4. Proclaiming May as Arbor Month and May 18, 1993 as <br />Arbor Day in Falcon Heights <br />5. Denial of variance request from Mr. and Mrs. Ray King, <br />1427 W Idaho, to construct an eight foot fence in their <br />rear yard. <br />6. License #2004, Twin City Tree Service <br />PRESENTATION OF FIRE DEPARTMENT BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN POLICY <br />Rescue Captain Ross Berndt who was instrumental in drafting the <br />policy explained that the policy is mandated by OSHA. He briefly <br />reviewed the laws governing the need for the policy and how it is <br />being implemented in Falcon Heights. He indicated the city's <br />Fire/Rescue Department has followed basically the same procedure <br />in the past and implementing the program would not be a problem. <br />APPROVAL OF 1993 OPEN SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM AS A PILOT <br />PROGRAM <br />Parks and Recreation Director Carol Kriegler explained that an <br />open type program had been held at Curtiss Field in the summer of <br />1992 and was well received. The Park and Recreation Commission <br />is now proposing a new summer program based on an "open play" <br />
