Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AGREEMENT <br />Ciernia commented on the complexity of the agreement which is <br />necessary to obtain and make use of a $110,000 grant from Ramsey <br />County for acquisition, demolition and relocation of residents of <br />the house at 2061 W. Larpenteur. <br />Hoyt explained that she is familiar with this type of agreement, <br />that it is fairly straightforward, and that the city attorney has <br />reviewed the agreement and is of the opinion that it does not <br />require changes. Following a brief discussion Jacobs moved that <br />the CDBG agreement be approved which carried unanimously. <br />AUTHORIZING FIRE DEPARTMENT TO DO DRILLS AT 2061 W. LARPENTEUR <br />WITH CONDITIONS <br />Hoyt explained that the Fire Chief has requested that the fire <br />department be allowed to use the structure at 2061 W. Larpenteur <br />for fire training including search and rescue, ventilation, fire <br />suppression and forcible entry. This would be contingent upon <br />conformance with all grant regulations, activities will be <br />completed within a one or two week period, and that nearby <br />property owners and the police be made aware of the activity. <br />Based on staff recommendation council approved the use of the <br />structure for fire training if the conditions can be addressed. <br />JULY AND AUGUST WORKSHOPS SCHEDULED <br />After a discussion the following council workshops were <br />scheduled: <br />1. Thursday, July 22, 7:00 p.m. - Goal Setting (follow-up <br />to May 22 workshop) <br />2. Wednesday, July 28, following council meeting - Budget <br />Discussion (Fiscal policies, CIP) <br />3.
