f 0 <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 1 1, 1993 <br />Baldwin convened the meeting at 7:05 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Ciernia and Gehrz. Also present were Hoyt and Phillips. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Gibson Talbot and Jacobs. <br />MINUTES OF 7/28/93 APPROVED <br />Council approved the minutes of July 28, 1993 by unanimous consent. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda by unanimous consent: <br />1. Disbursements <br />a. General disbursements through 7/30/93, 517,084.51 <br />b. General disbursements through 8/5/93, 545,041.60 <br />c. Payroll, 7/16/93-7/31/93, 511,541.33 <br />2. Licenses: Olsen Fire Protection, Inc. #2038, Timberline <br />Tree Service, #2037, Rollins Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. <br />#2036, Gibbs Farm Museum, temporary on-sale liquor license for <br />August 14 and 21, 1993. <br />3. Resignation of Steve Huso from the Planning Commission and <br />appointment of Thomas R. Brace to complete the term <br />ITEM P-1, COMMUNITY PARK PRAIRIE PLANTING <br />Councilmember Gehrz explained the proposed prairie seeding project for a portion of <br />Community Park scheduled for this fall. Resident Brian Malzer offered to organize and <br />manage this undertaking as part of his Eagle Scout project. Scout troops and <br />community volunteers of all ages will assist in the planting of approximately 3,000 <br />seedlings. Jyneen Thatcher, newly elected chairperson of the park and recreation <br />commission and landscape architect, is willing to assist in the management of this <br />
