MINUTES <br />APRIL 25, 1990 <br />PAGE 4 <br />obtain information on height requirements for fencing of ~ ~ <br />swimming pools and had found that the Building Code does not <br />regulate height of fences as that is left to local regulation. <br />Council addressed items such as appropriate height, regulation <br />of above ground pools, and types of fencing which might <br />discourage climbing. Staff was directed to redraft the document <br />to reflect this discussion and to determine whether or not the <br />Planning Commission desires to hold another public hearing on <br />the item. <br />CITY HALL CLEAN UP - APRIL 26 AND 27 <br />Wiessner explained that the original plan had been to request <br />permission to close City Hall for the two days to allow for <br />concentrated clean up by Staff. Gehrz had indicated that she <br />did not feel it would be appropriate to completely close the <br />office and the plan had been revised to leave the office open <br />and assign one staff member to conduct business as usual while <br />the others pursue clean up duties. <br />PROPOSAL THAT A STRATEGIC ISSUE STUDY BE CONDUCTED WITH CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE <br />Baldwin explained that at a Strategic Planning Workshop on April <br />21st, a discussion had been held regarding a possible combined <br />planning study with the City of Roseville. The purpose would be <br />to look at future goals, discuss mutual problems and determine <br />if it would be economically feasible to combine certain city <br />services. Council briefly discussed a proposed resolution <br />inviting the Roseville City Council to participate in a joint <br />workshop to discuss the matter. Jacobs moved adoption of the <br />resolution which carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-90-19 <br />A RESOLUTION PROPOSING A COMBINED WORKSHOP WITH THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO EXPLORE AREAS OF MUTUTAL <br />STRATEGIC INTEREST <br />REMAINDER OF EAST SIDE OF COFFMI~N TO BE POSTED "2 HOUR PARKING" <br />Gehrz explained that in the area by the Grove Park where there <br />is unrestricted parking the same 11 cars are parked there all <br />day requiring pedestrians to walk in the street. This practice <br />also makes parking impossible for persons wishing to use the <br />park. Following a brief discussion, Gehrz moved that "2 Hour <br />Parking, 8 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Weekdays" be posted to be consistent <br />with the remainder of the street until such time as the Planning <br />Commission completes the Citywide parking plan.
