MINUTES <br />MAY 23, 1990 <br />PAGE 5 <br />CANCELLATION OF JUNE 13, 1990 COUNCIL MEETING 3~G <br />Council cancelled the June 13, 1990 meeting due to the fact that <br />three Councilmembers will be attending the League of Minnesota <br />Cities Conference in Duluth at that time. <br />WORKSHOP SCHEDULED TO DISCUSS COMMUNITY SURVEY <br />Baldwin suggested Council consider authorizing staff to hire <br />Decision Resources to conduct a Community Survey as discussed at <br />the April 25th meeting, and to schedule a subsequent workshop to <br />discuss the survey. Following a brief discussion, Council <br />scheduled a Workshop for June 6, 1990 at 6:00 P.M. to discuss <br />possible survey questions and whether or not the survey would be <br />cost effective. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S REQUEST FOR LEAVE OF ABSENCE APPROVED <br />Wiessner informed Council that she has received a four week Bush <br />Leadership Fellowship which would involve a total leave of 16 <br />work days, and requested that she be granted a leave of absence <br />for that period of time. Ciernia moved that the leave of <br />absence be granted and that the City contribute up to $1,200 <br />toward the cost. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE 0-90-7 RELATING TO SWIMMING <br />POOLS <br />Baldwin opened the Public Hearing at 10:20 P.M. and noted that <br />the hearing notice was published in the May 16, 1990 Focus <br />Newspaper. There being no one wishing to be heard, the hearing <br />was closed at 10:21 P.M. Council briefly discussed the latest <br />draft of the proposed Ordinance and after making one change <br />relating to chain link fences, Wallin moved adoption of <br />Ordinance 0-90-7.
