MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 10, 1990 <br />Baldwin called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. <br />PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Ciernia, Gehrz and Wallin. Also present were Wiessner <br />and Chenoweth. <br />ABSENT <br />Jacobs. <br />MINUTES OF 9/26/90 APPROVED <br />The Minutes of September 26, 1990 were approved by unanimous <br />consent, as corrected. <br />CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda items by unanimous <br />consent: <br />1. Disbursements <br />a. General Disbursements through 10/10/90, $42,359.05 <br />b. Payroll, 9/16/90 - 9/30/90, $9,933.56 <br />2. Solid Waste Commission Minutes of 9/6/90 <br />3. Awarding 1990 Fall Street Sweeping Contract to Mike <br />McPhillips, Inc. at a Cost not to Exceed $2,786.00 <br />4. Licenses <br />CONSENT ITEM RELATING TO LOWERING SPEED LIMIT ON LARPENTEUR <br />AVENUE MOVED TO POLICY AGENDA <br />Ciernia requested that the Consent Agenda item relating to a <br />request for lowering the speed limit on Larpenteur Avenue, <br />Cleveland to Fulham, be removed from the Consent Agenda and <br />placed on the Policy Agenda. Council agreed. <br />RECOGNITION EVENT FOR CITY VOLUNTEERS TO BE PLANNED <br />Council briefly discussed the possibility of holding a <br />recognition event for City volunteers as has been done in the <br />past, after which Gehrz volunteered to organize the event to be <br />held in the new Community Park Building in January of 1991. <br />RED RIBBON COMPAIGN UPDATE <br />Gehrz gave an update on the progress of the Red Ribbon Campaign, <br />and presented a schedule of events for Red Ribbon Week, October <br />20th through October 26th.
