MINUTES <br />JANUARY 8, 1992 <br />PAGE 2 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION R-92-2 APPOINTING ROSEVILLE POLICE <br />OFFICERS AS OFFICERS FOR FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Ciernia moved adoption of Resolution R-92-2 as stipulated in the <br />City's police contract with the City of Roseville. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-92-2 <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE ROSEVILLE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT AS DULY APPOINTED POLICE OFFICERS OF <br />FALCON HEIGHTS <br />CITY ACCEPTS DESIGNATION AS INTERIM WETLAND CERTIFYING AUTHORITY <br />Maurer explained that the upcoming reconstruction of Cleveland <br />Avenue will impact the wetland area at the southeast corner of <br />Roselawn and Cleveland which falls under the Wetland <br />Conservation Act regulations. The interim rules for this law <br />require that a governmental unit assume certification authority <br />until final rules are implemented in July of 1993. Maurer <br />recommended that the city accept this assignment in order that <br />the Cleveland Avenue project will not be delayed. Gehrz moved <br />that the city accept the designation as the interim authority <br />for this project with Maurer filling that role for the city. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PILOT CABLE TV PROGRAM TO BE PRODUCED IN JANUARY <br />Hoyt requested Council consider the possibility of creating an <br />occasional television program covering local issues and events <br />as a part of the city's community outreach effort. Council <br />briefly discussed the matter and authorized staff to proceed <br />with planning such a program for January. <br />COUNCIL ASSIGNMENTS FOR 1992 <br />Baldwin presented the proposed council assignments for 1992 <br />which were accepted by council. <br />PURCHASE OF AMBULANCE BILLING SOFTWARE AUTHORIZED <br />Hoyt and Kelly requested that council consider authorizing the <br />purchase of ambulance billing software at a cost of $1,160.00. <br />Kelly explained that staff time could be reduced substantially <br />and billings would be prepared and mailed in a more timely <br />manner which speeds up payment to the city. Following a brief <br />discussion Gibson Talbot moved authorization to purchase the <br />ambulance billing software. Motion carried unanimously. <br />~~ <br />
