MINUTES ~~ <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 23, 1984 <br />PAGE 4 <br />Mayor Eggert reported that the Falcon Heights 4-H Club presented a 4-H CLUB <br />$48.00 donation for trees for the City Park. He also reported that DONATION <br />the planting of 30 trees by the Scouts went very well. FOR PARK <br />TREES <br />Mayor Eggert recommended that something be placed on the exercise <br />stations on the park trail to kill the grass and that sand be <br />placed at the stations in order that they do not become muddy EXERCISE <br />when it rains. Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember STATIONS AT <br />Chestovich, that the Maintenance Department be directed to upgrade PARK TO BE <br />the exercise stations as recommended. Motion carried unanimously. UPGRADED <br />Council briefly discussed the fact that trucks from the Good Value <br />Development are coming in from the north. Councilmember Hard was GOOD VALUE <br />of the opinion that Good Value should be taken to court, not for TRUCKS <br />money, but for a court decision only so it would be on record that VIOLATING <br />the development agreement was violated. The item was deferred to AGREEMENT <br />a later meeting. <br />Staff had received a request from a nursery that boulevard tree NO BOULEVARD <br />placement in Falcon Woods No. 3 be staked in order to avoid TREES TO BE <br />planting over underground utilities. Following a discussion, PLANTED IN <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that FALCON <br />the developer be informed that no boulevard trees are to be WOODS N0. 3 <br />planted in Falcon Woods No. 3 due to the large number of under- <br />ground utilities. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Baldwin informed that he had attending a meeting with COMPUTER <br />computer consultants and that a large discount can be obtained on UPDATE <br />the purchase of IBM conputers. He also stated that Councilmember <br />Ciernia has recommended talking to Hewlett Packard regarding their <br />computers as they have excellent upgrading capabilities. <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the meeting ADJOURNMENT <br />be adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
