Motion carried unanimously. <br />The matter of dental insurance will be discussed at a later meeting. <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that the meeting be <br />extended to 10:45 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Baldwin explained that he had contacted the State Fire Marshal <br />regarding the problem with the inspection of home day care facilities by <br />the Falcon Heights Fire Marshal. Local governments were given the option <br />to do the inspecting and if the decision was to do so, the State Fire Marshal <br />was to be notified in writing. Since no written reply was received from <br />Falcon Heights, it was considered to be negative. Following a short <br />discussion, Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that the <br />City Attorney be authorized to draft a letter to the State Fire Marshal <br />informing that Falcon Heights desires the State Fire Marshal's Office to <br />do inspections, and if there are any problems with the request, the City <br />should be notified. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that the meeting <br />be extended to 11:00 P.M. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council discussed the matter of severance pay for former Liquor Store <br />Manager, John Sosniecki, and reviewed severance pay policies from other <br />communities. Following the discussion, Councilmember Chestovich moved <br />seconded by Mayor Eggert, that the following severance pay schedule be <br />established for full-time employees leaving in good standing or at <br />retirement: 1-5 years service, 1 weeks salary; 6-10 years, Z weeks sal <br />11-15 years, 3 weeks salary; over 15 years, 4 weeks salary. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that the Cable <br />Commission rent be increased from $150.00 to $175.00 per month as of <br />January 1, 1985, as recommended by the Clerk Administrator. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />ary; <br />The matter of issuance of an off sale liquor license was deferred to <br />the November 28, 1984 meeting. <br />Councilmember Ciernia asked that Council consider the matter of including <br />costs of reassessment in the reassessment of Albert/Pascal improvements. <br />He felt that only the original project costs should have been included. <br />Attorney Gasteazoro informed that that no change can be made without <br />another assessment hearing and reassessment.
