MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 12, 198 <br />' ~. , <br />PAGE 4 "' <br />after which Council requested that representatives of the Mortgage <br />program attend the January 23, 1985 meeting for further discussion. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented a proposal for microfilming City CERTAIN CITY <br />documents for safe keeping. After a short discussion, Council concurred DOCUMENTS TO <br />it would be a good safety measure. Councilmember Baldwin moved, seconded BE MICRO- <br />by Councilmember Hard, that the microfilming be approved, the cost to FILMED <br />be paid from the Contingency Fund. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Eggert informed Council that staff members have requested a 13 13 INCH CABLE <br />inch Cable TV monitor rather. than a 9 inch as had been approved TV MONITOR <br />previously. Mayor Eggert moved,. seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that APPROVED <br />an amount of up to $400.00 be expended for the monitor, such amount to <br />be reimbursed from the franchise fee. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes explained that the Municipal Liquor Store LIQUOR STORE <br />Bonds must be defeased prior to the building being sold to Bullseye REVENUE <br />Golf, that Fiscal Consultant Apfelbacher has discussed the matter BONDS <br />with North Star State Bank, the bank will act as agent at no cost to the City. TO BE <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the Clerk DEFEASED <br />Administrator and Fiscal Consultant be authorized to proceed with the <br />defeasence of the Liquor Store Revenue Bonds. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Eggert announced that Milton Cohen was unable to obtain all <br />documents relating to the acquisition of the property on the south- COUNCIL <br />east corner of Larpenteur and Snelling, and, therefore, will not apply INFORMATION <br />for bonds until 1985. <br />Councilmember Hard reminded Council that the Fire Department Christmas <br />Party is being held December 16th. He inquired about the City Hall roof <br />problems as outlined in a November 26th letter from Hammel, Green and <br />Abrahamson, Inc. Clerk Administrator Barnes replied that the matter <br />is now up to the bonding company, <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed that he has contacted one qualified <br />person who will do a needs assessment for the Fire Department, and has <br />the name of another contact. <br />Councilmember Ciernia requested that ski hat sales be promoted in the <br />January newsletter, and reported on the hearing held by School District <br />623. <br />Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Counc' me ber.~iernia, that the AD'J~UR.N`MENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 9:300 P.M.
