l' <br />1 <br /> <br />MINUTES . <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 22, 1981 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Engineer Lemberg presented the following cost estimates for surfacing ESTIMATES <br />as an alley, the walkway between 1740 and 1746 Holton running to Albert: ON SURFACING <br />WALKWAY - <br />Alternate A - to construct a residential driveway alley that would 1740 & 1746 <br />only support personal vehicles, $15,421. HOLTON <br />Alternate B - to construct a normal alley that would accomodate garbage <br />trucks, delivery trucks and other heavy vehicles, $37,878. <br />Following the discussion Council accepted the Engineer's report and dir- <br />ected the Clerk Administrator to notify all four property owners involved <br />and request a reply from them before May 8, 1981. <br />Acting Mayor Brown informed Council that Fireman David Pearson has been FIREMAN <br />notified that the electrocardiogram given in the course of his required D. PEARSON <br />physical shows some abnormalities and the physician will not give final PHYSICAL <br />approval for work as afire fighter until Fireman Pearson consults a REPORT <br />cardiologist and has that physician's approval. Council directed the <br />Clerk Administrator to advise Chief Renchin that Fireman Pearson is <br />disqualified until complete medical approval is presented. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that the proposed Amusement/ PROPOSED <br />Admissions Tax Bill will be heard April 23, 1981 before the House Tax AMUSEMENT TAX <br />Sub-committee, and requested Council's opinion on who should give the BILL TO BE <br />presentation. After a discussion Council recommended that the Clerk HEARD 4/23/81 <br />Administrator and Councilmember Larson (who is Legislative Liaison) <br />work out a plan and jointly present the material. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented the First Quarter 1981 Municipal 1ST QUARTER <br />Court Prosecution Report. Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by PROSECUTOR'S <br />Councilmember Brown, that the report be accepted as presented. Motion REPORT <br />carried unanimously. APPROVED <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 8:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Attest: <br />~~ , <br />~ ~~ // <br />ewan B.
