Councilmember Steele moved, REPAIRED <br />seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the furnace repair be authorized. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Larson informed that she had discussed with a representa- ST. That contact person in- PROPOSAL <br />dicated that the coverage would be the same as now provided by Ramsey DISCUSSION <br />County, but at a lower cost. Mayor Warkentien and Councilmember Eggert <br />questioned whether or not the services would be same in view of the <br />information given in a letter from Chief McCutcheon. After a discussion <br />the Clerk Administrator was directed to send a copy of the present con- <br />tract with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department to Chief McCutcheon, <br />indicate .the City would require services at least equal to those provided <br />by the contract, and request that Chief McCutcheon attend the October 28, <br />1981 Council Meeting for discussion. <br />Fire Chief Renchin commented that if the City does consider the St. Paul <br />policing proposal they should bear in mind that the Falcon Heights Fire <br />Department radiio equipment would not be compatible ~ith St. Paul and re- <br />placing such equipment would be very expensive. He; also indicated dis- <br />patching could "oe a problem which would be an added expense. <br />1 <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the ADJOURNMENT <br />Meeting be adjourned at 9:30 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />~- <br />Willis C.
