ssi <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 22, 1983 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7s30 P.M. by Mayor Warkentien. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Ciernia, Chestovich, Eggert and Larson. <br />Also present were Clerk Administrator Barnes, Attorney Van de North and <br />Engineer Sehunicht. <br />None. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich that the <br />Consent Agenda b® approved as presented. Licensees See attached list. <br />Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded b'9 Councilmember Larson, <br />that the Minutes of June 8, 1983, be approved as presented. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Engineer Schunicht presented the results of the bids received for the <br />Falcon Woods No. 3 Utility and Street Improvements. He explained that <br />nine bids were received and gave a tabulation of the five lowest bids <br />as followss (1) Austin P. Keller Construction, $361~,1t61~.00, (2) <br />Mueller Pipeliners $365,719.l~0, (3) Orfei & Sons, Ina., $3?2,22t~.33, <br />(lt) Nordland Associates, Inc., $385,385.00, and (5) Northdale Construct- <br />ion Company $107,367.50. He then explained that if Hewlett Packard <br />does cot proceed with the purchase of the Hermes property, it xi11 be <br />necessary to delete some of the ponding from the contract and for that <br />reason he recommended that Council table awarding the bid until July 6 <br />3.u order to allow additional discussions with Hewlett~ackard, Hermes <br />and Austin Keller Construction. <br />John Peterson, Good Value Hcmes, felt that prolonging the awarding of <br />bide would be of no advantage as a change order could be made either <br />before or after the bid is awarded. His organization is most amdous <br />to have the pro3ect started as the Good Value development has already <br />had several delays. <br />Counoil discussed at length whether or not to schedule a special <br />meeting the first week in July for finalizing the matter or to <br />adopt a resolution awarding the bid to Austin Keller Corporation. <br />Following the discussion, Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Council- <br />.•.y~?f <br />ABSENT <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />APPROVED <br />MINUTES OF <br />6/8/83 <br />APPROVED <br />BID RESULTS <br />ON UTILITIES <br />& STREETS <br />IN FALCON <br />wooDS N0. 3 <br />
