MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL FETING DECEMBER 13, 1978 Page 6 Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, to award the 1979 Liquor Liability insurance to Carl Bennetsen, agent for Professional Writers, Inc., also representing Stonewall Insurance Company, which provides the low rate of $3,56i~ based on $x.00,000 gross receipts of liquor sales. Upon a roll call vote the following voted ~~aye~T: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers TYIcGough, Steele and Brown, and the following voted "nay~~: None. Councilmember Black abstained. Motion carried. Councilmember Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to award the balance of the 1979 insurance to Paul Brener Ins. Co., repre- senting Home Insurance, for an approximate amount of $1l~,191.00. Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember McGough to authorize the Fire Chief to proceed with the acquisition of an ambulance, providing the City of Falcon Heights does not incur at~y costs. Motion carried. Council deferred the hiring of a planner to do the Comprehensive HIRING OF PLANNEb Plan until the meeting of December 27, 1978;. DEFEtii~tED Clerk Administrator Barnes obtained three quotations for a copy- BIDS ON NEW ing machine and recommended the 3 M Secretary Dry Copier at $1,095.00. COPIER SUBMITTED Savin had submitted a bid at $3,595.00 plus $53.35 installation but 3 M SECRETARY also required a maintenance contract. A.B.Dick submitted a bid COPIER TO BE for a comparable machine at $l~,995.00. PURCHASED Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to extend the meeting to 12:00 Midnight. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to autho- rize the Clerk Administrator to purchase a 3 M Secretary Dry Copier at $1,095.00 and to charge the Liquor Fund one-third of the cost and two-thirds of the cost to the Sanitary Sewer Fund. Upon a vote being taken the following voted ~~aye«: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough and. Brown, and the following voted ~'nay~~: None. Councilmember Steele abstained. Motion carried. Council authorized Clerk Administrator Barnes to take 1~ days of vacation December 1?~ and 15, 1978. MEETING EXTENDED TO 12:00 MID- NIGHT Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember Black to BIDS ACCEPTED authorize the Mayor and Clerk Administrator to sign the request of FOR CONSTRUCTION Ramsey County accepting the bids on the construction of Roselawn OF ROSELAbJN AVE. Avenue from Snelling to Fairview Avenue. Motion carried unanimously.
