~~ MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING JANUARY 2~, 1979 Page 2 Councilmember Black arrived during this discussion at approximately COUNCILMEMBER 7:50 p.m. BLACK ARRIVES Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown to POLICING (cont.) authorize the Mayor and Councilmember McGough to present to the Lauderdale Council the proposed joint policing contract for the Lauderdale Council's consideration. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Administrator Barnes presented to Council plans for the HERMES FIARAL Hermes Floral expansion which is now in progress. 1750 LARD. A discussion was held regarding the lights which have been turned LIGHTS ON off on th® County Roads. Council and the Clerk Administrator will COUNTY ROADS meet at 6:15 February 11~, 1979, prior to the council meeting, and inspect the lighting situation. Clerk Administrator Barnes reported on the Section 8 Housing and SECTION 8 informed Council of the amount of reimbursement to date. SEPTEMBER, 1979 Mayor Warkentien read a letter from the St. Paul Water Department WATER GATE VALVE stating they feel a water gate is needed on the hydrant at Ruggles RuGGLES & SHELL and Snelling. Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Council- memiber Steele, to reject the proposal for a water gate at Ruggles and Snelling. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Warkentien presented a letter from the League of Minnesota Cities stating that the week of February 26 - March 2, 1979 will be Minnesota Cities Week, and asking the City of Falcon Heights to adopt a resolution of participation.
