The Planning Commission Members will also be invited to <br />attend the interview sessions. Motion carried unanimously. <br />After a discussion on the subject of security at the Municipal Liquor ADDITIONAL <br />Store, Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele, SECURITY <br />that additional security devices be installed at the Liquor Store DEVICES TO BE <br />at a cost of $220.00 for installation plus $4.00 per month service INSTALLED SIN <br />charge. Motion carried unanimously. LIQUOR STORE <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that the City's request DISCUSSION - <br />to increase parking fines to $15.00 during the State Fair will be INCREASING <br />approved and that it is necessary to prepare an ordinance for approval PARKING FINES <br />by the court. It has been suggested by the Court that the fine be TO $15.00 <br />set at $15.00 for the entire year rather than fair time only. <br />Councilmember Steele stated he felt the $15.00 fine should apply at <br />fair time only as the intent was to discourage parking violations <br />during the fair. He also felt it would be unfair to Falcon Heights _ <br />residents to have the fine set at $15.00 for the entire year. <br />It was suggested that the Clerk Administrator check the court records <br />and determine what percentage of parking fines are paid by Falcon <br />Heights residents. <br />Councilmember Steele inquired as to whether or not the City might <br />hire a graduate student to prepare a Council Newsletter monthly. <br />He explained many residents have expressed their appreciation of <br />the newsletter and requested that it be published more frequently. <br />Acting Mayor Brown will check into the matter. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert that <br />the meeting be adjourned at 9:10 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />~. <br />REQUEST TO <br />PUBLISH NEWS- <br />LETTER MORE <br />FREQUENTLY <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />~Jp~~ ~~ ~1=~~- <br />Helen L.
