CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />City Council Meeting <br />MINUTES ~ ~~ <br />August 12, 1998 <br />Mayor Gehrz called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT <br />Gehrz, Hustad, Jacobs and Kuettel. Also present was Hoyt and city attorney <br />Knutson. Councilmember Gibson Talbot arrived at 6:40 P.M. <br />MINUTES OF JULY 29, 1998 <br />Minutes were approved by unanimous consent with a correction that the <br />"city" not the "university" was making the 3D CAD display of the soccer <br />facilities. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Councilmember Kuettel moved aproval of the following consent agenda. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />1. Disbursements and Payroll <br />2. Compensation increase for the city administrator <br />3. Approval of change order #5 with North Metro Landscaping <br />UPDATE ON THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA WOMEN'S <br />INTERCOLLEGIATE SOCCER STADIUM <br />Mayor Gehrz updated the council on intergovernmental cooperation on <br />finding an alternate site for the stadium in conjunction with youth soccer <br />fields. <br />City Attorney Roger Knutson updated councilmembers on the most recent <br />response from the University of Minnesota to the city's covenants which the <br />university did not fully accept the city's covenants. Of particular note was <br />the lack of limitations on the number of games on the competition field. The <br />city is now waiting for the university's response. The council directed the <br />city attorney to continue to request the university to honor the four <br />
