CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS ~: <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING 3 2 ~ <br />MINUTES OF APRIL 23, 1997 <br />Mayor Gehrz convened the meeting at 7:01 p.m. <br />PRESENT <br />Gehrz, Jacobs, Hustad, and Kuettel. Also present were Hoyt and Asleson. <br />ABSENT <br />Gibson Talbot. <br />COMMUNITY FORUM <br />There was no one wishing to take advantage of the community forum. <br />MINUTES OF APRIL 9, 1997 <br />Minutes were approved by unanimous consent. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Kuettel to approve the following consent agenda. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />1. Disbursements <br />2. Licenses <br />3. Approval of a May 7, 1997 workshop date <br />4. Accept voluntary resignation of Linda Treeful, City Forester <br />POLICY AGENDA <br />UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF THE TUNNEL UNDER LARPENTEUR AVENUE ADJACENT <br />TO THE UNIVERSITY GOLF COURSE <br />Administrator Hoyt reported that the University Golf Course and Ramsey County were <br />proceeding with plans to install a tunnel underneath Larpenteur Avenue. This tunnel <br />would allow golfers to complete all 18 holes of golf without having to cross over <br />Larpenteur Avenue. The tunnel would be paid for by the county and the university and <br />managed by the university. <br />After a discussion regarding safety concerns associated with the tunnel, the council <br />directed Hoyt to find out if the lighting in the tunnel would be on all the time or if if <br />would be on only while the golf course was open. <br />
