2 <br />Page 2 <br />City Council Minutes <br />July 10, 1996 <br />REQUEST TO BE FISCAL AGENT FOR THE MAYORS COMMISSION <br />AGAINST DRUGS (MCAD) AND THE TEEN COURT <br />Mayor Gehrz indicated that currently the city acts as the fiscal agent for MCAD <br />(Mayor's Commission Against Drugsl. MCAD and the Teen Court project are applying <br />for separate state grants for 1997 and if received, they will require a fiscal agent. <br />This requires accounting for revenues and expenditures for both these programs. <br />Councilmember Hustad moved that the city act as fiscal agent for MCAD and the Teen <br />Court project for 1997 if state grants are received. Motion passed unanimously. <br />CITY INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Councilmember Kuettel reminded everyone to attend the Ice Cream Social on July <br />25th at the Community Park beginning at 6 P.M. <br />Administrator Hoyt mentioned that National Night Out is August 6th this year. For <br />residents who are planning block parties and want to invite the police and/or fire <br />personnel, call either 789-5015 or 644-5050. Hoyt also thanked the Falcon <br />Heights/Lauderdale Lions Club for their contribution towards a TV/VCR to be used at <br />city hall for various meetings. She also thanked them for their participation at the <br />bike safety rodeo at Curtiss Field and their donation of bike helmets to those who <br />needed them. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m. <br />~~ ~= <br />Susan L.
