7/ <br />I Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the Council REZONING <br />invite the various committees and organizations, such as League of Women DISCUSSION <br />Voters- Citizens Groups, etc., of Falcon Heights to read and rct~ew the <br />proposed rezoning and beautification for the Falcon Heights business district, <br />and that they submit their opinions and proposals to the Council. Upon a vote <br />being taken, the following voted "aye"s Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Bl~>ck, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay's: None. Motion <br />carried. <br />Diseased trees at 1103 and 139l~ West Iowa were noted, and that they were <br />ordered removed by Dr. Hard, the Horticulturist. TREES <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that negotiations BOCCIE FORD <br />between Rollie Ford of Northland Tree Service, and the Council be approved NEGOTIATIONS <br />for pruning and removal of trees as proposed by Dr. Hard. Upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />The car nuisance at 1831 Asbury was noted, where people are working on ears well <br />after 10:00 P.M. The attorney noted he would take action if a complaint was CAR NUISANCE <br />filed. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes noted the Teenage Group of Falcon Heights TEENAGE <br />had disbanded, and that they wanted to donate the money left in their treast~y GROUP <br />to the Recreation Department for purchase of a grill to be used at the park. OF FALCON <br />HEIGHTS <br />DONATION <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to accept the <br />donation in the amount of $181.85, to purchase a grill, and other <br />equipment and to write a note of appreciation. Upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, <br />and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay-': None. Motion carri®d . <br />The Recreation Minutes of July 10, 1975 were noted. <br />Mayor Warkentien noted the letter from the Metropolitan Transit Commission <br />on proposed busstop areas. <br />The meeting of Tuesday, July 29, 1975 at 8:00 P.M. for the public hearing <br />on Arona and Crawford was noted by the Council. <br />Councilman Ste®1e moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to adjourn <br />the meeting at 11:27 P.M.
