A discussion was held relative to cost estimates and installation"of an air <br />conditioner for the City Hall Council Chambers. Engineer Leanberg <br />stated the estimated cost for tx> units for the roof would be about <br />$15,700.00„ and that bids would be required, as the cost is over $5,000.00 <br />The Council directed Engineer Leanberg to secure price quotes. <br />The letter from Michael Heffron of the State Fair Board to Fire Chief <br />Helbig concerning fire and rescue services from Falcon Heights was noted. <br />A discussion was held concerning the possibility of striping yellow <br />lines 30 feet from stop signs and l0 feet from fire hydrants to control <br />parking. Upon a vote AUGUST 1-15 <br />being taken, the following voted "aye" : Mayor lydarkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Ecklund, and Labalestra, and the following voted :nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councioman Labalestra moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to approve the GENERAL <br />general disbursements in the amount of $4,781.79• Upon a vote being taken, DISBURSENIENT5 <br />the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and <br />Labalestra, and the following voted "nays': None. Irtotion carried. <br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the LIQUOR DIS- <br />liquor disbursements in the amount of $22,882.89. Upon a vote being taken, BURSEMENTS <br />the ~n3lowing voted "nay" : None. I-lotion carried. <br />A discussion was held rel~~tive to 's no parkings' signs for the areas of the NO PARKING <br />Municipal Liquor Store and Embers. It was also stated that no parking should CITY PROPERTY <br />be permitted on City property where posted. <br />Councilman Labalestra informed the Council he had discussed with Manager LIQUOR STORE <br />George Willkon_ of the Liquor Store possible mark down prices of stock under <br />the new price listings. No action was taken, but it was the concensus of the <br />council to allow mark downs provided a record of those mark downs be <br />maintained. <br />The Summer Recreation Report submitted by Recreation Director Ronald SU~`~ ~~- <br />tivoodbury was noted.
