MINUTES OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETIDiG ~ ~'Z <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBE'~t 30, 1976 <br />A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra. Also PRESENT <br />present were Clerk-Ad~ai.nistrator Barnes, Fire Chief Renchin, Assistant <br />Fire Chief Bianchi and Maintenance men Vincent Wright and William Garlick. <br />No one was absent. ABSENT <br />Fire Chief Renchin requested Council to review the proposed 1977 Fire FIRE DEPART- <br />Department Budget and suggested that Council consider raiaimg fire call MHNT SUGGES- <br />pay to $5.00 per kour and an officers pay increase. TIONS F08 <br />1977 BUDGET <br />Council approved the following in Resolution 76-33: Establishing fire <br />calla at $5.00 per hour and to set the Chief's salary at $100.00 per <br />month and the two Assistant Chief's salaries a $60.00 per month each. <br />Maintenance men Wright and Garlick requested Council to review labor WRIGHT AND <br />Appropriations and requested Council consider their salary request ref- GARLICK RE- <br />ative to merit and their qualifications. Council advised theau they QUEST WAGE IN- <br />would take their request ander advisement in finalizing the bud6et. CREASES <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the following Resolution and moved its RESOLUTION <br />adoption. ?6-33 <br />RESOLUTION 76-33 <br />ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR, 1977 FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND SINKING <br />FUND OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS. <br />Upon a vote being talssJl, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Eeklund, Steele and Labalestra, and the following-voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilmen Eeklund, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to approve APPROVAL OF <br />the November 2nd General Election Judges as submitted. Upon a vote beit:g GENERAL ELEC- <br />taken the folloi+i.ng voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Steele, TION JUDGES <br />Black, Ecklund and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to approve the ANNUAL DUMP <br />Dump Ground schedule from October 16 through October 2l~, inclusive, and <br />authorize the Clerk-Administrator to prepare flyers for Scout Troop 233 <br />to deliver to residents in the City of Falcon Heights. Upon a rote be- <br />ing taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Steele, Ecklund and Labalestra and the fol~.owing voted "nay"s <br />None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the followir~ Resolution and moved its adoption. <br />RESOLUTION 76-31 RESOLUTION <br />76-31 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY AUDITOR TO RFI~TCE THE REDUCE I~BT <br />L~BT LEVY BY $16,634.38 IN THE YEAR 1977, WHICH WAS TO BE LEVY <br />PROVIDED FOR IDi THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM II~ROVBMENT N0. 1 <br />OF JULY 1, 1957. <br />
