<br /> <br />I J <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY <br />SEPTEMBER 22, <br />Page 4. <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />1977 <br />Councilman Steele reported to <br />findings of September 14th. <br />to council the list of trees <br />follows; <br />Hamline <br />Albert <br />Holton <br />Pascal <br />Simpson <br />Arona <br />Asbury <br />Snelling Dr. <br />rr <br />rr <br />Crawford <br />Garden <br />Ruggles <br />Roselawn <br />Larpenteur <br />council the tree committee <br />Councilman Steele presented <br />suggested for planting as <br />Oak <br />Summit Ash <br />Honey Locust <br />Hackberry <br />Redmond Linden <br />Red Maple <br />Ash (Marshall) <br />Austrian Pine <br />(East Alley) <br />Oak in Blvd. <br />Silver Maple <br />Sugar Maple <br />Sugar Maple <br />Ironwood <br />Ginko (Male) <br />~J <br />TREE <br />COMMITTEE <br />MEETING <br />Councilman Steele moved the acceptance of the trees desig- <br />nated by the tree committee of Falcon Heights, secondly, <br />that the City of Falcon Heights Contact the State of Minn. <br />to apply for a survey to be made for the Idaho Snelling <br />area provided that trees are available. Mayor Warkentien <br />seconded. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra <br />to direct Clerk Administrator Barnes to write a letter <br />expressing the council appreciation for their contribution <br />of $200 for the parks and/or equipment. Mayor Warkentien <br />expressed the council's thanks to Mr. Glenn Cook while he <br />was at the meeting. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, <br />Steele and Labalestra. The following voted "nay":None <br />Motion carried. <br />There was a discussion by council on the Garden Avenue <br />stop signs at which time Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />presented the latest traffic counts made and compared <br />them with the readings taken earlier in the year; May- <br />August. Attorney Kenefick reported to council State <br />Traffic Regulations where stop signs are permitted. <br />Mr. Bilk Brown and Mr. Jim Pratt and Mrs. Betty Kilpatrick <br />addressed the council in favor of retaining the stogy--signs <br />Mrs. Kilpatrick is the Safety Representative of the Falcon <br />Heights School PTA. <br />BONESTROO <br />CONTRIBUTION <br />GARDEN AVENUE <br />STOP SIGNS <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman McGough for <br />the retention of the stop signs until council votes other- <br />wise. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />9~ <br />
