<br />1 <br />MINUTES y~ <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />SEPTEMBER 28, 1977 <br />A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele PRESENT <br />and Labalestra. Also present were Clerk Administrator <br />Barnes, and Fire Chief Jerry Renchin. <br />None. ABSENT <br />Mayor Warkentien informed councilmembers that the <br />purpose of themeeting was to review the proposed budget <br />submitted by the Clerk Administrator and to suggest any <br />changes they feel were warranted. <br />It was suggested that the City not join the League of LEAGUE <br />Minnesota Cities for the next year. No action was taken MEMBERSHIP <br />at this time and it is to be reviewed at the October 7th, <br />1977 special council meeting. <br />Fire Chief Jerry Renchin explained to council his budget <br />request submitted for the Fire Department. He is suggesting <br />$4.50 for drills, $5.00 for fire calls and $15.00 for day <br />sleepers and $20.00 for week-end and holiday sleepers. He <br />is also suggesting Chief salary at $125.00 per months, two <br />assistant chiefs at $70.00 per month, $25.00 per month for <br />Capt. and $15.00 per month for Lts. He further explained <br />he had 15 pagers in for a total of $3Q75.00 as the old <br />units are in need of repair and maintenance costs in the <br />past three years have been excessive. Council suggested <br />funds from the capital improvement fund be used instead. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes was requested to raise the <br />diseased tree program fund $1,650.00 totaling $40,000.00. <br />Council adjourned at 10:35 p.m. <br />DISEASED <br />TREE PROGRAM <br />FUND 423 <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />~n ~ ~ <br />~_ . <br />E -c U <br />WILLIS C.A.
