MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OCTOBER 13, 1977 <br />Page 4 <br />~. 0 3 =° <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra <br />that all designs have been statisfied in respect to the <br />parking lot at 183.0 West Larpenteur. Clerk Administrator <br />Barnes requested to release the Bond #206257 in the <br />amount of $5,000 as recommended by Engineer Lemberg, and <br />that the Clerk Administrator was requested to notify <br />George Berry that the bond has been released. Upon a vote <br />being taken, the following voted "any": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and Labalestra. The <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien brought before Council a letter from <br />Governor Rudy Perpich relative to the Governors office <br />of volunteer services, a questionaire was included to be <br />filled out as to whether the City would include on their <br />employment application firms "volunteer Experience". It <br />was decided that the City has always considered this in <br />the past and to acknowledge the questionaire in that <br />manner. <br /> <br /> <br />Council discussed the median opening on Larpenteur Ave. <br />in front of the fire station and city hall entrances. <br />Falcon Heights is requested to pay half of the removal <br />cost and Ramsey County the balance. Total cost was <br />estimated at $2,400. Councilman Labalestra moved, <br />seconded by Mayor Warkentien. Mayor Warkentien noted <br />to council that a yes vote signified "no financial <br />help": no vote signified "participation in financial help" <br />Upon a vote: "Yes vote": Councilmen Steele, Labalestra <br />and Black. "No vote": Mayor Warkentien and Councilman <br />McGough. Whereupon the motion to participate in financial <br />aid failed. <br />BOND RELEASE <br />PARKING LOT <br />1830 WEST <br />LARPENTEUR AVE. <br />GOVERNORS <br />OFFICE OF <br />VOLUNTEER <br />SERVICES <br />MEDIAN OPENING <br />LAPRENTEUR AVE. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes noted to council a letter STREET LIGHTING <br />received from the Ramsey County Engineers regarding the LARPENTEUR AVE. <br />turn over of all the street lighting. A list will be <br />mailed to the City of Falcon Heights showing the location <br />of each at approximatly 40. The estimated annual cost <br />will be $3,072.00. <br />Mr. Raymond Brown - 1844 Tatum Street appeared before <br />council in regards to building on land owned by him <br />north of the cul-de-sac on Lindig Street. He inquired <br />whether council would permit the cul-de-sac be extended <br />northerly, partially on his property and the 25 foot <br />easement the City has. Mr. Brown would like to sub- <br />divide the land in order that two homes might be built. <br />Mr. Brown also inquired about water and sanitary sewer <br />being extended to permit the buildings to be constructed. <br />Mr. Brown brought to the attention of the council that <br />Art Lindig would like to acquire the lot the City now <br />owns which the existing cul-de-sac is partially located <br />on. <br />RAYMOND BROWN <br />LINDIG PROP. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to <br />authorize Bonestroo, Rensene, Anderlik & Assoc. to do a <br />
