3 C 1 MEETING OF MARCH 11, 1971 The regular meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also present were Clerk Printon, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed. Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the February 25, 1971 meeting be approved as corrected. Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. Reinstatement of At the March 3, 1971 meeting of the Relief Association of Volunteer Firemen the Falcon Heights Fire Department the following members in Excess of Twenty were reinstated by a vote of the Fire Department to serve Years Service: in excess of twenty years with the department. Warkentien moved that the following members be approved for reinstatement by the Council: Victor Hermes Gerald Baden Ernest Woehrle Robert Dowdell Henry Dachtera Stone seconded and the motion carried. 1970 Cash Balances - A report was received from Carl Pearson and Company, Accounts No. 1-r': Certified Public Accountants, listing the amounts of cash balance in accounts No. 1 through 7, as of December 31, 19 70 . Correspondence Read: Refuse Haulers License: Garnet's Standard Service Station Renodeling Plans: Justice of the Peace Application: Fire Report: Various letters of correspondence were read and ordered filed. Taylor moved that the application submitted by Charles A. Wegner, Dispos-0 Waste, 1100 Searle, St. Paul, Minnesota, be approved. Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. Black moved that the remodeling plans submitted by Garnet's Standard Service Station, 1691 North Snelling Avenue, be approved. Stone seconded and the motion carried. An application was submitted for the position of Justice of the Peace by James H. Leviton, 18t~5 West Larpenteur Avenue, Law Student from the University of Minnesota. Ecklund read Fire Report No. 71-3. Human Rights Warkentien moved that the resignation of Mrs. Betty Irish, Commission 1387 Englewood Avenue, submitted to the Council, be ac- Resignation: cepted. Mrs. Irish has moved from the Village. Taylor seconded and the motion carried. Calculator Stone moved that the Village purchase an Olivetti Ca1cu- Purchase: lator for the quoted price of $382.9t~, out of the sewer fund. Taylor seconded and the motion carried.
