~oa~ <br />MEET ING OF AUGU j'T 26, 19 71 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.r•Z. with the follotring members <br />present: P~Iayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ec_~clund and Stone. Also present were <br />Et~ineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed. Absent was Councilman Taylor. <br />Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the August 12, 1971 meeting <br />be approved. Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. <br />Cigarette License Ecklund moved that the follot~ring cigarette licenses be <br />Renewals: approved for the period commencing July 1, 1971 and ending <br />June 30, 1972: <br />James Segal - State Fair Grounds <br />Charles Volin - " <br />Ted Steichen - " " " <br />ti•+arkentien seconded and the motion carried. <br />Master Gas Ecklund moved that a master gas installers license be <br />Installers approved for the Kimball Company, Inc., 600 North Fairview <br />License i~.eneiral: Avenue, for the period commencing July 1, 1971 and ending <br /> June 30, 1972. Warkentien seconded and the motion carried. <br />Parking Lot Art Lindig, 1877 West Larpenteur Avenue was present at the <br />Construction - meeting to discuss various problems in his home area. Blac:•c moved that the Council <br /> write the owner of the apartment buildingin regards to re- <br /> cent construction on that property requsting him to appear <br /> at the next Council meeting as the parking lot was apparently <br /> constructed without proper authority. 1~darkentien seconded <br /> and the motion carried. <br />Sewer Problem - Z•~alter Loeding, 1780 North Albert was present at the meeting <br />1700 North Albe?~t: to discuss a sewer problem at his residence. Engineer <br />Lemberg was authorized to check the sewer problem and recom- <br />mend procedure to follow. <br />Variance :bequest - Mrs. Diane Lalla, 1910 Asbury Avenue was present at the <br />1910 Asbury Avenue: meeting to submit her request for a variance to install a <br />privacy fence. Black moved that the application submitted <br />for variance to install a six foot fence on the Roselawn <br />side of Rosela~m and Asbury be referred to the Falcon <br />Heights Plani~.ng Commission for recorrcnendation. Stone <br />seconded and the motion carried. <br />• Chair Truck Stone moved that the Village Engineer be authorized to <br />Purchase: purchase a chair truck for the Village to handle all extra <br />folding chairs. l~darkentien seconded and the motion carried. <br />
