Also present were <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Zdrazil. <br />ABSENT: Councilwoman Stocker <br />Publication George P~.ffez•ty of Progressive Design Associates, explained <br />for Bids: his error in not inserting a proper legal advertisement for <br />construction bids for the T~Zunicipal liquor store in the <br />official newspaper and therefore requested the Council to <br />authorize advertisement for construction bids for submis- <br />sion on September 12, 1972, at 2:00 P.T<~. A discussion was <br />held in respect to the advertisement for legal notice and <br />it ttiTas determined that this advertisement was a legal <br />notice as it designated the Village of Falcon Heights as <br />owner. <br />Special Tieeting : I~iotion by Councilman Stone, seconded by T•Iayor Trdarkentien, <br />to set a special meeting September 12, 1972, at 8:00 P.M. <br />to consider bids for the remodeling of the Municipal liquor <br />store. Motion carried. <br />Completion Date T-iotion by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Stone, <br />of Liquor Store: to authorize an addendum to the :Liquor store specifications <br />amending the completion date to December 8, 1972, in lieu <br />of December 1, 1972. Tlotion carried. <br />Liquor Store John E. Bergstedt discussed the drawings in respect tothe <br />Fixtures: liquor store fixtures relating that open areas should be <br />provided for displaying liquor stock for promotional pur- <br />poses. He also recommended having both check out counters <br />installed initially to avoid higher cost later on. <br />Liquor S ire The Council set September 6, 1972, at 5:00 P.TZ., to tour <br />Tour Date: several lioluor stores with John Bergstedt and George <br />l~.affe~,ty and Associates. <br />Request to Clem A. Lehnen, operator of Falcon Bowling Lanes, 1550 T~~Test <br />Reconsider Denial Larpenteur Avenue, requested the Council to reconsider his <br />of Variance - variance request which was denied August 10, 1972, for an <br />Falcon Lanes: additional sign to the existing sign. After considerable <br />discussion as to the number of bulbs and the distance the <br />new sign would protrude from the building the following <br />action was talcen <br />Motion by Councilman Black, seconded by T~Tayor Warkentien, <br />to reconsider the denial of a variance of August 10, 1972, <br />for Cler+i L•ehnen, 1550 T~;est Larpenteur Avenue. Motion <br />carried. <br />
