~~ <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL r~ETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MITJNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1972 <br />A special meeting of the Falcon Heights Council was called to order by <br />Mayor ~tiTarkentien, at 8:10 P.l~T. <br />Pi3.E" { NT : NTayor ti~~iarkentien, Councilmen <br />Stocker arrived at 8 :1~5 P .I°T . <br />Barnes and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Black, Ecklund, Stone. Councilwoman <br />Also present were Clerk-Administrator <br />ABSENT : TJone <br />I'u~.msey County TOPICS T'Tr. and Mrs. Donald Itoy, 13Z~9 West California Avenue <br />Program - Fte: Hamline -and TTr. and T~Trs. T~arvin DeTfIartino, 13L.~5 ti°~est California <br />Larpenteur Avenues Avenue were present at the meeting to discuss their <br />Left Turn Lanes: opposition to the l~arnsey County TOPICS Program plans <br />to initiate a left turn lane and a median strip on <br />Hamline Avernze onto Larpenteur Avenue, and also ob- <br />jected to trees being removed on Hamline Avenue. I~Tr. <br />DeT~Tartino related he wouldn't be able to drive into his <br />garage without going all the way around the block <br />because he has a curved driveway. <br />RTayor ti~~arkentien attended a regular Ramsey County <br />Board meeting on September 11, 1972, and he presented <br />the problem of the residents and their objections to <br />the left turn lanes, and also the removal of trees on <br />Hamline Avenue. NTayor T~~arkentien reported that the <br />work had been stopped. <br />Mr. Roy would like the minutes to show that in behalf <br />of the residents of the Hamline-Larpenteur area, he is <br />expressing his ap~.reciation of the attendance of Tlayor <br />ti~'arkentien at the meeting of the Ramsey County Board on <br />September 11. 1972, presenting the objections of the <br />residents. <br />~Zesolution Rescinding Mayor ti•~'arkentien introduced the following l~.esolution <br />a Resolution Adopted and moved its adoption: <br />Previously - 72-~- <br />Resolution 72-27: P~,:~LUTION 72-27 <br />T?ESflLUTION ~tESCINDING THE PREVIOUS MOTION OF <br />Nlia$I'ING OF JATdUAtLY' 27. 1972, APPI~VING THE <br />;,AT~ISEY COUNTY TOPICS PROGIiAT~i PLANS SUBT~TITTED <br />FOi~ THE ALTE:~ING OF LA~ZPETdTEUR AVr~it7L FROT•T <br />EUSTIS STI'Fi~T TO DALE STP,.EET <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Kesolution <br />was seconded by Councilman Stone, and upon a vote <br />beir~ taken thereon, the follot~ing voted in favor <br />thereof : T•Iayor j~arlcentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, <br />Stone, and the follotrit~ voted against: Tdone, ~^~Ihereupon <br />the l~.esolution teas declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
