A.11 <br />present related that parking space was badly needed by fair- <br />goers. <br />The Council will take this under further consideration. <br />Liquor Store The Council decided that the Liquor store building permit <br />wilding Permit Fee fee should. be p ~_d. by the contractor. <br />to be Paid by <br />Contractor: <br />Variance Request Motion by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilwomar_ <br />Reconsidered - Stocker, that permission be given to Clem A. Tehmen, Falcon <br />ralcon Lanes: Lanes, 1550 ;lest Larpenteur Avenue, to erect a sign not to <br />extend more than 18 inches from the building and that the <br />sign be installed as requested. If after a years time, the <br />sign li,;hts are considered to be objectionable, A?r. L•ehmen <br />will be asked to change them. If there is no basis for <br />objection after one years time, the sign will be allowed <br />to remain. <br />Permission to Motion by Councilwoman Stocker, seconded by Councilman <br />Sell Golf Balls: Black, to authorize the Clerk-Administrator to issue a <br />permit to sell golf balls within the Village to Fred C. <br />?~icGUire, 1013 Ingerson F'oad, Shoreview, Minnesota, for the <br />period September 15, 1972 and ending September 15, 19?3• <br />Motion carried. <br />Year Around Mayor ~larkentien reported that he had met with r~~r. NIilQ Gaul, <br />Recreation Program Extended Services of the School Board, on September l3, 1972, <br />Suggested.: to discuss coordinating a recreation Fro;_;ram with School <br />District 623, under the community school concept to include <br />Falcon reights and Lauderdale.. <br />Summer Recreation T~~layor Warkentien read a letter from Falcon Woods play- <br />Pronram: ground area residents stating their pleasure with the <br />sununer recreation program, also the softball r~arat on. <br />Teen Group Dave Sorenson, member of the Teer Gzrouj;, t~ianked <br />Discussion: the Cosancil members and Clerk-Administrator Bermes for <br />tl-ieir 'zel~~ with the softball marathon, and he also related <br />that the money donated will be used for retreats, hay rides, <br />etc. Clerk- Administrator Barnes suggested that the money <br />donated for the marathon be deposited. by the Teen ~'3roup in <br />their gran bank account. Dave Sorenson suggested that t.1e <br />Village hire a director to head the Teen Group, and he <br />recommended Roger Arnold. <br />
