~~ MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA NOVEMBER 20, 1972 A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 P.M. PRESENT: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Councilwoman Stocker. Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Kenefick. ABSENT: None. Minutes: Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the minutes of the meeting of November 9, 1972, as corrected. Motion carried. Building Permit Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, Application for that the Arden Hills Investment Company be granted a 1830 W. Larpenteur: building permit for their proposed apartment complex at 1830 W. Larpenteur Avenue, subject to the recommendations of the Village Engineer in his letter of November 20, 1972. Upon a note being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted against: Councilman Stone. Motion carried. Variance Request There was no action taken on the variance request of Universal Signs: Universal Signs, but the Council asked that the owner of the National Surplus Store, 15111 W. Larpenteur Avenue, be present at the next Council meeting to explain some details concerning the sign now being erected, the signs that have been erected, and the area of his building. Request of Dr. Bob Thatcher, 1311? W. Larpenteur Avenue, was present Thatcher Clinic at the meeting to discuss the enlargement of the Thatcher to Enlarge and Clinic Parking Lot and the screening of it. He stated Screen Parking Lot: that he would be willing to comply with the Village Ordinances and with the wishes of his neighbors bordering on his property. He further stated that he would talk with the property owners and send the results of this and the plans of the enlargement and screening to Clerk-Administrator Barnes. Resolution 72-52 Councilman Stone introduced the following resolution and Reducing 1973 moved its adoption: Budget: RESOLUTION # 72-52 RESOLUTION REDUCING THE TAX LEVY FOR 1973 WHEREAS, Congress has provided for the distribution of certain funds to local units of government under a national program for revenue sharing; WHEREAS, The Village of Falcon Heights, according to the best information available, wall receive $21,l~8lt.00
