~~ <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 20, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and <br />Councilwoman Stocker. Also present were Clerk-Administrator <br />Barnes, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Kenefick. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />Minutes: Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to <br />approve the minutes of the meeting of November 9, 1972, <br />as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Building Permit Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />Application for that the Arden Hills Investment Company be granted a <br />1830 W. Larpenteur: building permit for their proposed apartment complex at <br />1830 W. Larpenteur Avenue, subject to the recommendations <br />of the Village Engineer in his letter of November 20, 1972. <br />Upon a note being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, <br />and Councilwoman Stocker, and the following voted against: <br />Councilman Stone. Motion carried. <br />Variance Request There was no action taken on the variance request of <br />Universal Signs: Universal Signs, but the Council asked that the owner of <br />the National Surplus Store, 15111 W. Larpenteur Avenue, <br />be present at the next Council meeting to explain some <br />details concerning the sign now being erected, the signs <br />that have been erected, and the area of his building. <br />Request of Dr. Bob Thatcher, 1311? W. Larpenteur Avenue, was present <br />Thatcher Clinic at the meeting to discuss the enlargement of the Thatcher <br />to Enlarge and Clinic Parking Lot and the screening of it. He stated <br />Screen Parking Lot: that he would be willing to comply with the Village Ordinances <br />and with the wishes of his neighbors bordering on his <br />property. He further stated that he would talk with the <br />property owners and send the results of this and the plans <br />of the enlargement and screening to Clerk-Administrator <br />Barnes. <br />Resolution 72-52 Councilman Stone introduced the following resolution and <br />Reducing 1973 moved its adoption: <br />Budget: <br />RESOLUTION # 72-52 <br />RESOLUTION REDUCING THE TAX LEVY FOR 1973 <br />WHEREAS, Congress has provided for the distribution <br />of certain funds to local units of government under <br />a national program for revenue sharing; <br />WHEREAS, The Village of Falcon Heights, according to <br />the best information available, wall receive $21,l~8lt.00 <br />
