<br />MIPNTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCOPI HEIGHTS, MINT~]ESOTA <br />JAPNARY 25, 1973 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Warkentien at 7 :1~0 P .M . <br />PRESERjT: Mayor ti^7arkentien, Councilman Black, Councilwoman Stocker. <br />Councilman Stone arrived at 10:11 P.T~t. after attending a League <br />of Minnesota Municipalities meeting on property taxes. Also <br />present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and <br />Attorney Kenefick. <br />ABSENT: Councilman Ecklund. <br />Minutes: Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, to <br />approve the minutes of the meeting of January 11, 1973, as <br />corrected. P•4otion carried. <br />Variance Request The variance request by Universal Signs for the National Surplus <br />National Surplus Store was delayed until the next meeting upon written request of <br />Store: NTr. Phil Barber, owner of the Tational Surplus Store. <br />Subdivision of the Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to authorize <br />Stewart Property: the Clerk-Administrator to arrange for publication of the notice of <br />hearing in reference to the subdivision of land at 1761 PJ. <br />Fairview Avenue, and that said hearing be held at 8:00 P.M., at the <br />Village Tiall, on the night of the regular meeting of February 8, <br />1973. notion carried. <br />Conditional Use Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker to <br />Gerrit Timmers approve the request of Mr. Gerrit Timmers, 1523 W. Hoyt, to <br />1523 W. Hoyt: install a steel utility building in his yard at said address, <br />and that said building would not require a conditional use fee. <br />Motion carried. <br />Display Fixtures - Mr. John Bergstedt, of Display Fixtures, 1966 Benson Avenue, <br />Payment of Pro- was present at the meeting to discuss the payment of the pro- <br />f essional Fees: fessional fees for plans and specifications for Municipal Liquor <br />Store fixtures. <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to <br />approve the payment in the amount of $1,189.75. P~:otion carried. <br />Lindig Property - Councilman Black moved, ,.seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to <br />1875 W. Larpenteur: authorize the Clerk-Administrator to publish legal notice of a <br />public hearing to consider a proposed amendment to Ordinance <br />#6l~, providing a conditional use for greenhouses under R-3, for <br />greenhouse sales and retail products. <br />Tdotice shall stipulate that a public hearing will be held before <br />the Planning Commission on Tuesday, February 20, 1973, at 8:00 <br />P.AT., and before the Village Council at a regular meeting of <br />February 22, 1973, at 8:00 P.M. Motion carried. <br />
