1 <br />1 <br />It was explained that because of the Bize of the City, it 1 <br />is more feasible to get all of the plowing done in one <br />day, thus giving the residents better service and cleaner <br />streets, It was also explained that the Council has <br />looked for ways to notify the residents of the snowplowing <br />but that as of this time there has been no satisfactory <br />solution. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />that the request for a conditional use permit by Richard 1841 ASBURY <br />Elhardt of 1841 Asbury be taken frown the table. Motion <br />carried. <br />Present for the discussion were Mr. Elhardt and Mr. <br />Steven Nelson, the attorney representing Mr. and Mrs. <br />John Struble, 1851 Snelling Drive. <br />Both parties stated that as of this time, the ease has <br />not been settled,, and Mr. Nelson stated that his clients <br />have instructed him to pursue the matter into district <br />court if need be. He also suggested that the Council <br />wait for the dispostion of the case before making a <br />decision on the matter of the conditional use. <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />that this matter be tabled until some decision has been <br />made by the parties involved pertaining to the res- <br />trictive deed clause, and until the Council is presented <br />with a signed agreement between the property owners or <br />a court order.. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Hlack, APPLICATION - <br />that the application for a volunteer fireman by Thomas VOLUNTEER FIREMAN <br />Bianchi, be tabled until there is an opening on the <br />Falcon Heights Fire Department upon recommendation of <br />the City Attorney. Motion carried. <br />The increases in the natural gas and electrical rates GAS & ELECTRIC RATES <br />by Northern States Power, were noted. <br />The designation of the animal. control .firm was deferred ANIMAL CONTROL FIRM <br />until the next meeting. <br />The report on the ~.oeal Government Study Coaanission was <br />noted and the Council requested copies for their own use. <br />Fire reports numbers 1, 2 and 3 were noted. <br />The Sheriff's report for December, 1973, was noted. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, <br />to authorize Clerk-Administrator Barnes to construct a <br />platform for the council chambers, in reference to his <br />report on the estimated cost.
