TJo action was taken on the request for a six foot fence <br />Ralph Strutzel, 199t~ Autumn Street, in lieu of the five <br />foot fence to b e erected between the Community Park and <br />~j~ <br />by REQUEST FORA SIX FOOT FENCE <br />the adjoining property owners on the northeast corner of <br />the park. <br />Lam' <br />i <br />1 <br />Mayor ti~larkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, <br />to appoint John A. Labalestra, 1?.~1a.3 W. California. Avenue, <br />to fill the Council vacancy, created by the resignation <br />of Councilwoman Stocker, said term to expire on December <br />31, 1977. <br />Unon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof : TZayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, and <br />Steele, and the following voted against the same: <br />Councilman Ecklund who moved the appointment of T•?axine <br />Harkness. Tiotion carried. <br />APPOINTMETIT OF JOHN A . <br />LABALESTRA TO COUNCIL <br />Steven A. Nelson was present to discuss the codification CODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES <br />of the ordinances. Clerk-Administrator Barnes was <br />directed to complete his analysis of the codification and <br />make recommendations to Tor. Nelson regarding any changes. <br />The oath of office was administered by Mayor ti^Tarkentien, OATH OF OFFICE - <br />to John A. Labalestra, Z~rho was appointed to serve the JOHN A. LABALESTRA <br />unexpired term of Lu Stocker, as Councilman. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, HAWKINS PROPERTY REZONING <br />that the motion of the last meeting in reference to Council MOTION RESCII~TDED <br />initiated rezoning of the property immediately north and <br />adjacent to the Hermes property, be rescinded. Motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINATICE 13t~ <br />AN ORDITdATJCE PROHIBITING OPEN PLATTE FIRES ON APARTT'IETdT <br />BALCONIES <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br />to adopt the foregoing Ordinance. Upon a vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />T•~ayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, <br />and Labalestra, and the following voted against the <br />same: D1one. Motion carried. <br />ORDITIANCE -OPEN FLAME <br />FIRES OT1 APARTIvfENT BALCONIES <br />Councilman Ecklund again requested that the Attorney write CAT PROBLEM - 198 ROSELAWN <br />to James Brown, 19t~~3 Roselawn Avenue, regarding his cat, <br />which the neighbors feel is a public nuisance. <br />Councilman Ec1,lund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, ADJOURTfi7FfiTT ~- <br />to adjourn the meeting at 11:30 P.A'I.
