<br />1 <br />J <br />Mayor Zrlarkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, REQUEST TO OPERATE POP <br />to approve the request of Jim Fuller, to allow Boy Scout CONCE~SIOT1 STAND IT1 PARKING <br />Troop 27, to operate a pop concession stand in the City LOT <br />Parking lot, during the weekend of August 2)T and 25, and <br />August 31, September 1, and 2, 197t~, and to waive the <br />fee for the Peddler's License. T~otion carried. <br />Several proposals for the sound system for the Council <br />Chambers were presented and discussed. It was decided <br />that the Council would look at systems installed for <br />use in other municipalities and would budget for the <br />system for the 197-1975 year. No further action eras <br />taken. <br />T~layor ZTarkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, <br />to approve the Tree Pruning Agreement between NSP and <br />the City of Falcon Heights, to prune 23 trees and remove <br />one tree on the south side of Larr,enteur Avenue between <br />Arona and Hamline, below the TJSP wires, and to haul away <br />and dispose of all brush and wood, said work to be done <br />by Tdorthland Tree Service, at the cost of ~~5.00 per <br />tree. Upon completion of work NSP will reimburse th e <br />City of Falcon Heights in the amount of ~22.5G per tree. <br />Upon a vote being taken thereon, the follo~ring voted in <br />favor thereof : T~Iayor Z°rarkentien, Councilmen Black and <br />Labalestra. Councilman Ecklund abstained. Motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, VOLUTlTEER FIREMAN APPLICATION <br />to approve the application for a volunteer fireman <br />submitted by James Kraemer, 1707 T1. Fairview, subject <br />to a physical and six months probation. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by TZayor Z°.'arkentien, <br />to approve theexpenditure of X127.00 from the Civil <br />Defense Budget to Henry J. Dachtera, Civil Defence <br />Director, to attend the Civil Defense Director's <br />Conference September 27 - 29, 197t~, and the requests <br />for tier diem, registration, housing and mileage for <br />the International Rescue and First Aid Association, <br />and T•linnesota Rescue and First Aid Association, to <br />be ref erred to Councilman Steele for his recommendation <br />at the next meeting.
