268 <br />Correspondence <br />Bituminous Casualty A check in the amount of X255.00 return premium was <br />Insurance Company: received from Harold Krinke of the Guindon Agency, Inc., <br />agents for Bituminous: Casualty Insurance Corp. with <br />wham village is covered for workmen~s compensation <br />insurance. r <br />Annual Street Request of Ramsey County Engineer dated March 6 for <br />Mileage Certifications number of miles of streets or roads maintained by <br />_ Falcon Heights as of December 31, 1967 was answered by <br />Engineer Lemberg in his letter of March 11~ 1968 as <br />being 9.12 miles. <br />Major Street Plan of Letter dated March 6~ 1968 from Deane Anklan~ County <br />Ramsey County: ~ngineer~ stated in part that the purpose of the Major <br />Street Plan is to provide sufficient roadway widths in <br />platting adjacent properties. County Engineer requests <br />that all building permits issued by village provide the <br />necessary right of way to comply with road widths of <br />Major Street Plan. <br />Dean S. Brandsness Dr. Dean S. Brandsness, 197l~ Summer Street, was <br />Appointed to Board of administered official oath pursuant to his appointment <br />Health: to the Falcon Heights Board df Healht-r. <br />Fire Department Report: Fire Chief Al Helbig was present. He advised that <br />an Emerson Resuscitator, valued at $1100, was given to <br />Emerson Resuscitator the Fire Department. It is request. of donor that this <br />Donated to Fire resuscitator not be included in Falcon Heights inventory <br />Departments. as it is a gift to the Fire Department and not to the <br />Village. _ <br />Requisition for Ecklund moved seconded by Black that the Fire Department <br />Purchase of Ambu be authorized to purchase one Ambu Baggy which is an <br />Bag; artificial resuscitator. Ayes: Warkentien, Strandquist~ <br />Black, Ecklund and Stone. .Nays; None. Motion was <br />carried. <br />Mr. and Mrs-. Julian Lee Mr. and Mrs. Julian Lee, 1737 Fry Street, were present. <br />Fry Street Tr~.ffic using Mr. Lee is disturbed over the deterioration of Fry Street <br />Driveways to turn around: due to the following: <br />1. Too many vehicles, probably residents and visitors <br />of apartments, using private driveways to turn <br />around oftentimes cars drive right over boulevard. <br />2. Home-owners in defense have placed blocks, and <br />various articles in driveways to discourage turning <br />around. <br />3. Robert Hall Store boulevard is in bad shape from <br />cars driving_to turn around and also from neglect <br />resulting in a boulevard of dandelions and weeds. <br />The bushes or hedge adjoining are untrimmed. <br />ffiack moved, seconded by Stone that the Village Cleric be <br />directed to write Sam Spiegler, owner of the Spiegler <br />Apartments requesting that he appear at Village Council <br />meeting of March 28, 1968 to discuss this matter.
