Cr _ ,iyi- ~,~.~ <br />C`~" ~~ <br />~~ ,~~~ <br />SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 2g, 1g68 <br />2811x. <br />The Council meeting was called to order at 7:30 <br />P.M. with the following members present: <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilman Black, Eklund <br />and Stone. <br />Also present were Treasurer Olsen and Attorney Seed. <br />1. The Village Council discussed with Mr. Joseph <br />Prifrel the terms and conditions of a new contract with the <br />employees of the Village of Falcon Heights. Severance pay <br />for the full time paid firemen was also discussed. Mr. <br />Prifrel and the Village Council agreed to renew the dis- <br />cussions at a meeting to be held on November 21, 1868, at <br />7:30 P.M. <br />2. Trustee Eklund moved, seconded by Stone, that <br />the Village Clerk be directed to advise the full time paid <br />firemen in writing that their employment with the Village <br />would discontinue as of January 1, lg6g. Upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted for same: <br />Mayor Warkentien and Trustee Black, Eklund <br />and Stone. <br />Whereupon the resolution was declared passed. <br />3. The Village Council discussed whether or not it <br />should submit a bid, to purchase for playground purposes the <br />Julia Lindig property set for public sale on November 1, <br />1g68. Trustee Stone moved, seconded by Black, that the Vill- <br />age Council not submit a bid to purchase the property on the <br />grounds that it was not properly suited for either or play- <br />ground or recreational purposes. Upon a vote being taken, <br />the following voted for same: <br />Mayor Warkentien and Trustee Black and Stone. <br />Trustee Eklund abstained. <br />~.
