SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 4, 1968 <br />2825 <br />The special meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M, with the following members <br />present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Black and Ecklund. <br />Election Returns: The Village Clerk read the following election returns. <br />For the Office of Councilman <br />Norman Ecklund 301 votes <br />David Beardsley 167 votes <br />For the Office of Village Clerk <br />James Taylor 1128 votes <br />Mrs. M. Vavoulis (write-in) 7 votes <br />Lloyd Svendsbye (write-in) 1 vote <br />Frederick N. Martin (write-in) 1 vote <br />For the Office of Justice of the Peace <br />D. Michael Noonan lt12 votes <br />Paul Coppini (write-in) 1 vote <br />Frederick N. Martin (write-in) 1 vote <br />On motion by Black, seconded by Warkentien, it was voted <br />unanimously by the Council acting as Camrassing Board to <br />declare the following persons duly elected to the respective <br />offices and the Clerk was instructed to certify said election <br />returns to the Ramsey County Auditor. <br />Village Councilman - Norman Ecklund for three years; <br />Village Clerk - James Taylor for two years; <br />Street Light: <br />Adjournment: <br />Justice of the Peace - D. Michael Noonan for two years. <br />The Council authorized NSP to substitute a 23,000 lumen light <br />for the previously ordered 250 watt Mercury Vapor Light on <br />the west side of Hamline between Iowa and Hoyt Avenue. <br />Up~rn motion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 P.M. <br />l <br />Approved <br />1 <br />
