At that time, they advised that the items to consider <br />would be: training program, fire prevention inspections, <br />enforcement of codes, actual manpower response day and night, <br />fire fighting procedures, condition of equipment and station, <br />department records and receipt of fire alarms. <br />In the 1963 report, the following axeas were considered <br />in need of improvement: <br />Improved Fire Department Manpower Response to Alarms <br />Installation of Dri11 Tower <br />Enact modern and more adequate ordinance concerning <br />building construction. They recommended the National <br />Bui.l.ding Code or an acceptable alternative of adoption <br />of the St. Paul Building Code. <br />Ecklund ad~i.sed that by the next meeting, the Fire ,Department <br />should be able to submit an estimate on the cost of .the repair <br />of the fire trucks in order that they may be in top working order. <br />Use of Village Ha11: The Ramsey County League of Municipalities was granted permission <br />to use the Hall February 19, 1969 at 8:00 P.M. The Village <br />hosts them about once every year and a half and this is our <br />regular night. <br />Ecklund advised the Council that the Volunteer Sleepers <br />had agreed to check the hall after each meeting to see that <br />the lights are out and everything is used. They are not <br />expecting compensation 'for this . <br />The people using the Hall will be advised that it must be <br />left in the same condition as found and that the kitchen <br />facilities are not to be used. <br />possibility of Li'1 Mayor Warkentien asked the Council their opinion on a Li'1 <br />General Store: General Store on the southwest corner of Hamline and Roselax~. <br />Black stated that the area would have to be re=zoned and would <br />require two public hearings.
