2890 <br />MEETING OF JIINE 12, 1969 <br />7lie regular meeting of June 12, 1969 was called to order at 7:10 P.M. with <br />the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen <br />Stone and Black. (Councilman Ecklund arrived shortly after.) Also present <br />were Engineer Lemberg and Treasurer Olsen. <br />Minutes: Councilman Black moved, Councilman Stone seconded <br />the approval of the May 22, 1969 minutes as correc- <br />ted. The motion carried. <br />B & E Patrol: A representative of the B & E Patrol appeared to <br />discuss with Council methods by which the number <br />of violations of the Dog Ordinance could be curbed. <br />Clerk Taylor was asked to put on the agenda for the <br />next meeting the suggestion that penalties for <br />owners of unleashed dogs be increased, and that a <br />piece be put in the newspaper informing the public <br />of the number of the B & E Patrol to call when an <br />unleashed dog is seen. Councilman Stone made a <br />motion that patrol time be increased from 8 to 16 <br />hours per month for the months of June, Ju],y and <br />August. Councilman Black seconded the motion and <br />it carried. <br />Bid for Street Engineer Lemberg read the bid for street and alley <br />and A11ey Main- maintenance which was received from Armor-Coat <br />tenance: Companyy, Inc. in the amount of $5,535, work to be <br />started June 1 and completed August 1. It was <br />submitted for tabulation and recommendation. <br />Hemline Avenue Engineer Lemberg read two bids for the Hemline <br />Water Main Avenue Water Main Project. The first was from <br />Pro3ect Bids: Austin P. Keller Construction Company in the amount <br />of $12,522.50, work to be started June 23 and comp- <br />leted as specified. <br />The second bid was from C. S. McCrossan, Inc. i.n <br />the amount of $12,719.40, work to be started as <br />specified and completed as specified. Both bids <br />were submitted for tabulation and recommendation. <br />Application for An application for variance signed by Sussel Com- <br />Variance -- parry, 1850 Cargo Avenue, in reference to construction <br />Stan Kolar, of anew garage at 1407 W. Idaho (residence of <br />1407 W. Idaho: Stan Ro1ar) was submitted to the P1ann3.ng Commission. <br />The Planning Commission rev3.ewed the request and <br />recommended granting of application. Councilman <br />Black moved that the request for variance be granted <br />in accordance with application and accompax~ring plena. <br />
