1 2895 Unsightly Bus - Councilman Black reported that an unsightly old bus has been 186? Sheldon: parked for an extended length of time in front of the residence at 1$6t~ Sheldon. He made a motion that Village Attorney Seed be authorized to write a letter to William Olson, o~mer of the vehicle, advising him that he is violating Ordinance #81. Councilman Ecklund seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Sidewalk Im- Engineer Lemberg reported that concrete work has been finished provement on Iowa Avenue. This is a phase of the Sidewalk Improvement Project: Pro3ect. Street and Engineer Lemberg reported that street patching has begun. In order to avoid recurrences of this problem, Councilman Black made a motion that manholes should be opened twice a year and flushed and that a report be made by manhole number, and that the Village Clerk advise village maintenance man in writing to this effect (letter to be drafted by Engineer Lemberg). Clerk Taylor seconded. Motion passed. Basketball A request has been received for basketball equipment at the Equipment-Idaho Idaho Playgrounds. Mayor Warkentien made a motion, seconded Playgrounds: h3'' Councilman Black, that a post be provided and, if necessary, a backboard and hoop to be installed on blacktop area where children's equipment is at present. Motion passed. Village Hall Engineer Lemberg reported that one new door has been installed Doors: at the Village Hall and the other will be installed in approx- imately one week. Air Conditioner Clerk Taylor moved that the Village-Engineer be authorized to for Office, investigate the possibility of installing an air conditioner Village Hall: in the wall of the Village Hall office. Mayor Warkentien secon- ded the motion and it passed. Drainage Prob- Councilman Ecklund reported that complaints have been received lem -Autumn from Rev. Alvin Lewis, Autumn and Roselawn, relative to a drain- & Roselawn: age problem on his property. It was reluctantly agreed that nothing can be done to remedy this at the present time. Metro Park & Mayor Warkentien read a letter received from Bob Ashbach asking Open Space for the suggestion of a person to serve on the Metro Park and Program Com- Open Space Program.
