2928 <br />~ ~~ <br />lll+ <br />Nerve Flag for Warkentien moved that the Village Clerk be authorized <br />Village Preaaises: to order a nor American flag for the outside flagpole <br />the same size as the present flag. Stone seconded and <br />motion carried. <br />Insurance Bids Black moved that the Clerk be authorized to forKard <br />S~iecifications: speci.fieations for insurance bids in accordance with <br />the copy which the Council discussed and which will. <br />be maintained in the Village office, Ecklund seconded <br />and motion carried. <br />Electric Heaters for Black moved that we authorize the Pillage maintenance <br />Falcon Heights School man to procure two electrical heaters for the Falcon <br />Wat'~n3ng House: Heights School warming house identical to those at <br />Falcon Woods Playground, at a cost of $!~7 each, plus <br />installation. Taylor seconded and motion carried. <br />Lighting on Arona Waskentien read a letter froau Bethel College requesting <br />Avenue -Letter more lighting on Arona Avenue between the College and <br />from Bethel College: Larperrteur Avenue. <br />Black moved that we authorize the Clerk to answer the <br />letter from Bethel College indicating the adequaoy of <br />the present lighting is Falcon Heights. Stone seconded <br />" and motion carried. <br />Letter from Civil Warkentien read a letter fran Mr. Luria S. Allen, Civil <br />Defense Director, Defense Director, highly praising Henxy Daehtera for <br />Lorin S. A11ea: his volunteered services to help Ramsey County Civil <br />Defense daring °Operation Ar~townn, conducted at the <br />Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Mr. Dachtera worked on his <br />own time prior to the exercise. <br />Warkentien moved we aclawwledge our thanks and appreciation <br />for the favorable publicity Mr. Dachtera has brought to <br />the Village. Ecklund seconded and motion carried.. <br />Application for Ecklund moved that the application for plumbing license <br />Plumbing License: for ~ Plumbing and Heating Compaq, 935 University <br />Avenue, be approved. Black seconded and motion carried. <br />Arundel Street Repair Attorney Seed and Engineer Lemberg have negotiated with <br />Pro3eet -Falcon Heights the City of St. Paul concerning Falcon Heights share of <br />rare of Cost: the cost of the Arundel Stiteet Repaix Pro3ect. A settle- <br />ment of $9000 has been proposed. Attorney Seed and <br />Engineer Leaaberg wi11 set up a meeting with the Village <br />of Roseville and the Village of White Bear Lake to get <br />their opinions on the sub3ect. <br />Parking Problem on Iowa Ecklund xeported that the parking situation at Iowa and <br />and Hamline Avenue: Haml.ine Avenue was checked by himself and the Ramseur <br />County Sheriffs Department. He will check further and <br />make a report to the Village Council. <br />Re~ul.ar Meeting Stone moved that the regular meeting of November 27 be <br />Date Changed: moved to November 26 due to Thanksgiving Day on the 27. <br />Seconded bg Taylor and motion carried. <br />
