2959 <br />Tow-Truck Complaint- Don Johnson, Manager of the Pure Oil Station at 1525 West Lar- <br />Falcon Heights Pure penteur Avenue appeared at the Council meeting by request from <br />Oil Stations the Council to answer a complaint from Mrs. Ewald Finger, 1526 <br />Crawford Avenue. Mra. Finger sayel the station tow''-trucks use <br />her driveway to back into every day to turn around. Mr. Johnson <br />says it has been about twice in two years that the trucks were <br />backed into her driveway. He will park his tow-trucks on a <br />rented lot as soon as one can be found. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Finger appeared at the meeting after Mr. Johnson <br />left. They suggested a one-way alley from Arona Avenue to <br />Snelling Drive. <br />Stone moved that the Village Engineer be authorized to make a <br />feasibility study as to the possib~.ity and practicality of en- <br />forcing a one-way traffic sign in the alley between Arona and <br />Snelling Drive. Warkentien seconded and motion carried. <br />Plumbing Permit Warkentien moved that the Council grant the plumbing permit ap- <br />Application: plied for by the Harris Plumbing Company. The Village Attorney <br />has examined the Bond and Insurance and found them to be satis- <br />factory. Black seconded and motion carried. <br />Lauderdale-Falcon Warkentien read a letter from the haw offices of Howard, Lefevere, <br />Heights Hockey Lefler, Hamilton and Pearson regarding the hauderdale-Falcon <br />Board - Heights Joint Hockey Board. The letter states that the Lauder- <br />Resolution 70-7: dale Village Council has declined to authorize the proposed <br />Lauderdale-1Nalcon Hei*hts joint hockey board agreement. They <br />feel that each community should equip its own hockey teams with <br />uniforms and equipment to be the property of the community which <br />buys it. <br />Warkentien moved the following resolution: <br />RESOLVED, that the appropriation of X400 heretofore made <br />for the joint hockey board be rescinded, and that X400 instead <br />be appropriated for the purchase of hockey uniforms and equip- <br />ment for use by the Falcon Heights hockey teams, and that said <br />uniforms and equipment be treated as property of the Village df <br />Falcon Heights. Ecklund seconded and motion carried. <br />Tennis Courts - Black moved that the Council authorize the Village Engineer to <br />Project 70-1: prepare plane and specifications for tennis courts to be con- <br />structed on the Falcon Heights Elementary School property at <br />1393 Garden Avenue. Warkentien seconded and motion carried. <br />Meeting Date Stone moved that the next regular meeting of the Council be <br />Change; held on Wednesday, February 11, 1970 inasmuch as February 12, <br />falls on Lincoln's Birthday. Black seconded and motion carried. <br />Fire Reports: Ecklund read Fire Reports A~os. 70-1, 70-2. <br />Sheriff's Reports Ecklund read Sheriff's Report for December 1969. <br />Burning Ordinance In view of the fact that there will be a meeting on February <br />Tabled: 25, 1970, by Minnesota Pollution Cvntrvl, any action on a burn- <br />ing ordinance was tabled until after the hearing. <br />
