2 <br /> Rudolph Gimbura, 1358 West Larpentear Avenue. <br /> Black moved that the application for conditional use be <br /> referred to the Village Engineer and to the Midwest Plan- <br /> ning Consultants for stuc~r and report. Stone seconded and <br /> the motion carried. <br />Recreational Black reported that a meeting of the Citizens Recreation <br />Committee Meeting Advisory Ccanmittee was held on April 16, 1970. The Commit- <br />Report - Mr. tee reco~nnended that the Village continue a modified recrea- <br />William Black: tional program for the Village of Falcon Heights with each <br /> of the four playgrounds receiving either filre mornings or <br /> five afternoons per week of recreational leadership to eoc- <br /> tend for an eight week period from June 15, through August <br /> 7, 1970, inclusive. He reported that the Caawnittee farther <br /> recommend that two persons for each playground location be <br /> hired as supervisors of the program to be directed to the <br /> five through twelve year age group, and that one of the <br /> supervisors on each playgronnd be a paid teen-age assistant <br /> who is a resident of the Village of Falcon Heights. <br /> Warkentien suggested asking the recreation committee to <br /> have another meeting on April 30, 1970 to further discuss <br /> a sutraner recreation program, and to call Gary Wicks, <br /> Director of the 1969 summer program, to offer his suggest- <br /> ions. <br />Tractor Mower: Stone moved that the Village Engineer he authorized to <br /> secure price quotations for a tractor needed by the Village <br /> maintenance department. Taylor seconded and the motion <br /> carried. <br />Televising The Village Engineer was authorized to check on the cost <br />of Sewers: of televising the sewers in the Northome area to check <br />damage of roots to sewers. <br />Master Gas Having met the requirements, it was moved by Taylor, secon- <br />Installers License: ded by Warkentien that Master Gas Installers License be <br />issued to Albert H. Kimball, 600 North Fairview Avenue, <br />St. Paul, for the period May 1, 1970 to June 30, 1970. <br />The motion carried. <br />Letter to Richard Taylor read a letter written by Engineer Lemberg to <br />Sehnarr: Richard Schnarr, City Engineer, regarding the street main- <br />tenance of Hemline and Iowa Avenue. Engineer Lemberg re- <br />quested i.n the letter that the intersection be inspected <br />as to the drainage problem and repaired as necessary. <br />E1.ection News: Clerk Taylor reported to the Council a call from NBC News, <br />informing the Village that precinct 2 was under consider- <br />ation for election news coverage on national candidates. <br />Thgy also related that this precinct is considered typical <br />in its historical tendency to vote for winners. If se- <br />lected by NBC, a reporter will be at the local election <br />headquarters that evening for returns. <br />
