2989 <br />Warkentien moved that a stun not to exceed $775 be appro- <br />priated with the understanding that any donations received <br />from any Civic Organization would serve to reduce the Fal- <br />con Heights Village appropriation, also subject to our <br />receiving a letter from the University of Minnesota per- <br />mitting our use of the University Grove Area. Stone <br />seconded and the motion carried. <br />Bleachers For Engineer Lemberg obtained a price of $122.75 for bleachers <br />West Falcon Woods: at the Falcon Woods playground, consisting of 10 foot sec- <br />tions with 5 seats of steel. The Council did not consider <br />the erection of bleachers as our responsibility as we do <br />not derive direct benefit from them. <br />Street Condition Mr. Art Lindig, 1875 West Larpenteur Avenue, complained <br />Complaint: that the street on Larpenteur and Lindig was breaking up. <br />a~.m"°"- Engineer Lemberg was authorized to check the area reported. <br />Request to Mr. Lindig requested permission to build a garage on the <br />Build Garage: concrete slab existing behind the flower shop. His re- <br /> quest was referred to the building inspector. <br />;- Lindig Street Mr. Lindig said the overflow of cars from the Apartment <br />Parking Problem: building at 1707 Lindig Street was taking all the parking <br /> spaces on the street. He was requested to survey the <br /> neighbors on the street in reference as to their feel3.ngs <br /> of restricted parking on the street. <br />Uniform Building Black moved that the Village adopt Ordinance No. 103, AN <br />Code, With Exceptions, ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BUILDING CODE FOR THE VILLAGE OF <br />Ordinance No. 103: FALCON HEIGHTS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 3, 10, 17, 25. <br /> Eck7.und seconded and the motion carried. <br />Plumbing Regulation - Black moved that the Village adopt Ordinance No. 10J.~, AN <br />Ordinance No. 101.x: ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. lal~, ENTITLED "AN ORDIN- <br /> ANCE REGULATING PLUMBING, REQUIRING A PERMLT FOR PLUMBING <br /> WORK, ESTABLISHgTG MINIMUM PLUMBING STANDIA~?DS, AND PRO- <br /> VIDING A -:PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF," AS AMENDED <br /> BY ORDINANCE NOS. 57, 65, 76. Warkentien seconded and the <br /> motion carried. <br />Cigarette License - Stone moved that the Village adopt Ordinance No. 105, AN <br />Ordinance No. 105: ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. lt, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE <br />LICENSING AND REGULATING THE RETAIL SALE OF CIGARETTES AND <br />CIGARETTE WRAPPERS." Ecklund seconded and the motion <br />carried. <br />Gasoline Filling Stone moved that the Village adopt Ordinance No. 106, AN <br />Station License - ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 27, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE <br />Ordinance No. lOb: LICENSING AND REGULATING THE OPERATION OF GASOLINE FILLING <br />STATIONS," AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 78. Black seconded <br />and the motion carried. <br />
