MEETING OF JULY 23, 1970 2997 The regular meeting of July 23, 1970 was called to order at 7:05 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black and Ecklund. Also present was Treasurer Olsen. Attorney Seed arrived at 7:30 and Engineer Lemberg at 9:00 P.M. Absent was Councilman Stone. Visitor: Mr. Joseph Hudson, summer law clerk with Briggs and Morgan, attended the meeting to observe the procedure. Minutes: Black moved that the minutes of the July 9, 1970 meeting be approved as corrected. Taylor seconded and the motion carried. Federal Land Bank Warkentien moved that the Council ratify the action of Bond Investment: Treasurer Olsen to reinvest $10,000 of North East Storm Sewer Funds, which had matured on July 20, 1970, in Federal Land Bank Bonds at 7.95, maturing on January 22, 1973• Taylor seconded and the motion carried. Auditor's Report Taylor moved that the Council accept the Auditor's Report for 1969: of 1969 submitted by Pearson and Company. The Clerk was instructed to publish the financial statement. Black sec- onded and the motion carried. Village Representative for Ramsey County League of Munici- palities: Cigarette License Renewals: Warkentien moved that Councilman Ecklund be appointed as Falcon Heights Representative for Legislative Committee of the Ramsey County League of Municipalities. Black seconded and the motion carried. Taylor moved that the following cigarette licenses be ap- proved for the period commencing July 1, 1970 and ending June 30, 1971: Gray's Drug Store, 1552 West Larpenteur Avenue; Falcon Heights Pharmacy, 1707 North Snelling Avenue; Embers Sys- tem, Inc., 1700 North Snelling Avenue; Flameburger Res- taurant, 1533 West Larpenteur Avenue; Applebaum Food Market, Inc., 1558 West Larpenteur Avenue; KAMS, Inc., 1579 North Hamline Avenue. Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. Filling Station Taylor moved that the gasoline filling station licenses be License Renewals: approved for the following the period commencing July 1, 1970 and ending June ~0, 1971: Garnet's Standard Station, 1691 North Shelling Avenue; Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association, 16b7 North Snell- ing Avenue. Black seconded and the motion carried.
