3007 <br />MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 10, 1970 <br />The regular meeting of September 10, 1970 was called to order at 7:05 P.M. with the <br />following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black, Ecklund <br />and Stone. Also present were Treasurer Olsen and Engineer Lemberg. Attorney Seed <br />arrived at 7:30 P.rS. <br />Minutes: Ecklund moved that the minutes of the August 27, 1970 <br />meeting be approved as corrected. Black seconded and the <br />motion carried. <br />N. L. Hes:nes, N. L. Hermes, 1755 St. Mary's Street, appeared at the <br />Traffic Congestion meeting to discuss ways and means to eliminate the conges- <br />Problem: tion of traffic exiting onto Snelling from the shopping <br />center located at Snelling and Larpenteur Avenue. <br />Rubbish Haulers The following rubbish haulers were present to discuss the <br />Present: proposed Ordinance No. 109, RELATING TO THE REGULATING OF <br />THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE. Attorney Seed was <br />authorized to complete the ordinance for adoption at a <br />future meeting. <br />Bud Kager, A11-State Disposal; Ken Saver, Saver Disposal; <br />John Walter, tivalter's Disposal Service; Richard Wylierala, <br />Poor Richard's Incorporated. <br />Snow Plowing and Warkentien moved that the Village Engineer be aa.thorized <br />Sanding 1970 - 1971: to order the County to do the snow plowing and sanding for <br />the 1970 and 1971 season, also toput up the load limit signs <br />in the spring. Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. <br />Hamline Avenue Ecklund moved that the following resolution be adopted. <br />Water Main Hearing, Black seconded and the motion carried. <br />Resolution 70-16: <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSES 3rIENT IN CONNECTION WITH <br />HAMLINE AVENUE WATER IN~'ROVEMENT OF 1969 AND CALLING <br />FOR ASSESSMENT HEARING <br />TnIFiEREA5, the contract was let for construction of <br />Water Main Improvement of 1969 on Hamline Avenue between <br />Garden and Larpenteur Avenue, which improvement is referred <br />to in the Notice of Hearing on said improvement dated <br />September 12, 1968 and published in the Roseville Sun on <br />October 2, 1968 and October 9, 1968; and <br />WMEREA3, the tds,1. cost of said improvement is $16,510.86 <br />of which sum $7,55l~.17 shall be paid by the Village of <br />Falcon Heights. <br />NOtiti' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, as follows: <br />
