1960 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 10, 1963 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the fol.lo~ing <br />members being present: George Shaver, Acting Mayor; W. A. Mortensen, Clerk; <br />Charles P. Stone, Trtzstebtg Willis Waxkentien, Trustee. Also present were <br />Village Engineer Brad Lemberg, Village Treasurer William E. Olsen, and <br />Tina Vavoulis, Deputy Clerk. Absent: Mayor Harald Nilsen and Attorney <br />Mike Galvin. <br />Mortensen moved, seconded by Warkentien that the minutes of the spacial meeting <br />of July 3, 163 be accepted. Carried, <br />Building permit for sign Application was submitted by Harold Nelson for <br />at 1550 West Larpentsur: building permit for a sign advertising the W. F. Stepnitz <br />and Douglas Rees Properties to go above Grays Drug <br />Store at 1550 West Larpenteur. 1Varkentien moved, <br />seconded by Mortensen that the building inspector <br />be authorized to issue same. Carried. <br />George Zaier Variance: A letter from Mr. Zaier to the Planning Commission <br />under date of October 15, 1962 and also letter from <br />the Planning Commission tp the Council written in <br />July 1963 were read. Mortensen moved, Stone seconded <br />that this variance be denied on the basis of the reasons <br />submitted by the Planning Commission in their letter. <br />Carried. <br />Payment of Statement of Mortensen moved, seconded by Warkentien that the <br />Cost of Destroying Weedss follc~wring Resolution be adopted by the Council and <br />that it be certified with the County Auditor. Carried. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF STATEb'~NT OF COST <br />OF DESTROYING WEEDS AND CERTIFYING SAME TO ftAMSEY COUNTY <br />AUDITOR <br />WHEREAS, that certain real estate located in the <br />Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, owned by Julia <br />Lindig, 1870 Hoselawn Avenue, St. Paul 13, Minnesota <br />described as <br />The S b00~ of El/3 of N 1/2 of W 1/2 of <br />E 60 acres of S@~ 1/!t and E 25 ~ of N 75 t <br />of S 675 t of SD E 1/3 and Ex W 1/2 of N <br />1/5 of SD E 1/3 and Ex S 675 i SD E 1/3 <br />all in 16 292316 <br />has been found by the Village Weed Inspector to be <br />infested with noxious weed growth, and <br />WHEREAS, said ViTeed inspector caused the notice <br />required by statute to be servdd upon the said Julia <br />Lindig requiring her to eradicate laid weeds, and <br />WHEREAS, said Julia Lindig has not complied with <br />said notice, said Weed Inspector authorized J.W. Koalska <br />to destroy said. noxious weed growth standing and growing <br />upon the abovd described real estate, and <br />
